As everyone knows that having an own house is one of the basic needs of all, people are now considering houses as their biggest asset and thus, they are working very hard to earn more so as to buy such houses. Surely, the rich people can easily buy houses but it may become quite hard for the poor people who don’t even have a fixed income source. A poor family may have to spend money on different tasks such as to educate the children or to make an own house.
This is the reason that the West Bengal Government has decided to offer houses to such poor people. The government has launched a proper scheme for this purpose and the name of the scheme is the “Bangla Gramin Abas Yojana”.
Bangla Gramin Abas Yojana
The objective of the yojana- There are no personal motives of the government behind launching this yojana as the government is just trying to help the poor families so that they can get id f the monthly rents and can buy their own houses to live safely and securely. The main objective of this scheme is to offer permanent houses to the poor families who can’t afford to buy the houses at higher market rates. The Government of Bengal has announced that about 5 Lakhs home will be provided to the poor people under this “Bangla Gramin Abas Yojana”. The houses will be offered to the poor families living in the rural areas. The West Bengal Government will supervise this scheme itself.
When will the scheme start? The government has decided to start this yojana on 29th January 2018. This Bangla Gramin Abas Yojana is a part of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. The houses will be offered before the upcoming elections in the state. The government has taken this initiative so as to provide the permanent shelter to the poor people. The estimated budget is about Rs. 3,000 Crores. Apart from this, the West Bengal Government is also providing the houses to about 3 lakh people under another “Geetanjali Scheme”.
